Built by a real office professional who got tired of fitness advice that didn't fit his life.
Hi, I'm Joseph
Like most people reading this, I spent years trying to figure out how to stay in shape while holding down a demanding full-time job. I'd start a program, work hard for a few weeks, and then hit a wall - a brutal stretch at work, a late dinner, a week of bad sleep - and the whole thing would fall apart.
The problem wasn't motivation. It was that the advice I was following wasn't built for my life. Six-day training splits. Two-hour meal preps every Sunday. Diet plans that assumed I had zero social obligations and infinite willpower. None of it was realistic.
So I started figuring it out myself. What actually works when you're working 40+ hours a week, commuting, managing stress, and trying to maintain something resembling a social life? What does sustainable fitness actually look like for a busy professional?
Built Busy is the answer I wish I'd had sooner.
The Mission
Built Busy exists to prove that you don't have to choose between a successful career and a healthy mind & body. You don't need to wake up at 4am, eat plain chicken and rice every meal, or spend every Sunday in the kitchen. You need a smarter approach - one that's built around your actual life, not an idealized version of it.
Every article, newsletter, and resource on this site is designed with one thing in mind: giving you real, actionable information that you can use tomorrow morning, not someday when your schedule clears up.
What You'll Find Here
If I use a technical term, I explain it. This isn't a place to flex knowledge - it's a place to share what actually works.
Everything here comes from personal experience, genuine trial and error, and lessons learned from actually living this lifestyle - not theories from a textbook.
Every post ends with something you can do. Not "consider maybe trying this" but actual next steps you can take today.
